Laurel Caurvina serves as a Board Principle for The Safe Ride Foundation, offering advisory support, stewardship, and thoughtful leadership to help guide the organization forward. Based in Frederick, Maryland, Laurel brings entrepreneurial experience as co-owner of Churchill Auto Care with her father, along with a deep appreciation for community, creativity, and adventure. She has traveled across the country in a Winnebago with her dog Ollie, and she also plays guitar and sings, giving her the rare ability to contribute to both governance and the campfire playlist.
Charles Galloway
Board Treasurer
Charles Galloway serves as Board Treasurer for The Safe Ride Foundation, providing financial stewardship, strategic guidance, and board-level support for the organization’s mission.Well-traveled throughout the world and raised in Frederick, Charles brings an impressive background to the table, including military expertise in weapons of mass destruction and learning system management for Oracle. He is also the oldest of five siblings and one heck of a public speaker, which makes him both deeply qualified and very hard to follow at a podium.
James Hendy
Board Secretary
James Hendy serves as Board Secretary for The Safe Ride Foundation, providing governance support, advisory guidance, and stewardship for the organization. Based in Frederick, Maryland, James has been part of the Safe Ride story in a truly meaningful way: he was the first SOS Safe Ride volunteer driver to reach 1,000 hours. A huge car guy who drives a Nissan Skyline and recently was engaged, James brings commitment, reliability, and a deep connection to the mission every time he shows up.
Suzanne Coblentz
Board Member
Suzanne Coblentz serves as a Board Member for The Safe Ride Foundation, providing advisory support, stewardship, and marketing insight built from years of professional experience in the field. Based in Mt. Airy, Maryland, Suzanne helps strengthen the organization’s strategy, communication, and community presence. She is also a lover of beer, a proud mom of two, and has a loving husband. She’s a great fit for a mission that sits right at the intersection of community, responsibility, and real life.
