We're ALWAYS Recruiting Community Service Volunteers!
SOS Safe Ride (a program of the Safe Ride Foundation) is a 100% volunteer-run organization that helps to address drunk driving in our area. Our program is simple, if you have a few too many to drink, we send two of our spunky volunteers to drive you AND your vehicle home with you!
We've now prevented over 18,000 DUI offenses in our area, and we're always on the lookout for new volunteers to aide in our cause.
We're very community service-friendly, and if that's you, we invite you to join us!
In our view, philanthropy should not be about your checkbook, it should be about rolling up your sleeves and meeting the people that you serve. Volunteer in Frederick as a designated driver on your free weekend nights, and help us save a life!

What it’s Like to do Easy Community Service with Safe Ride:
Community Service involves volunteering with the SOS Safe Ride program of Frederick County as a helpful designated driver. And don’t worry, you would be operating the follow car, not the client’s car.

What’s needed of you:
- A valid driver’s license
- A friendly attitude!
- Manual Transmission Experience not required
- Must be at least 18 years old+
