Benefits

One of Several Ways to do Easy Community Service with The Safe Ride Foundation:

Community Service  can involve several tracks for those seeking hours.  Our most popular volunteering opportunities are with the SOS Safe Ride program of Frederick County as a helpful designated driver.

One Mission. Two Ways to Serve.

Every volunteer helps create a safer, stronger Frederick County, but how you serve depends on your schedule. Whether you prefer evening shifts preventing impaired driving or flexible daytime rides for neighbors in need, there's a place for you to make an impact.

Daytime/Weekday Program:

Help neighbors reach the places that matter.

Provide daytime transportation for residents who need reliable access to medical appointments, work, grocery stores, community services, and other essential destinations.

Evening/Weekend Program:

Prevent impaired driving when it matters most.

Volunteer during our busiest hours by helping get impaired drivers—and their vehicles—home safely. As a chase driver, you’ll directly support one of Frederick County’s leading drunk driving prevention programs while earning community service hours quickly.
