Where to even start guys? Nearly ten years ago, we started out on this journey with the goal of preventing drunk driving and protecting our community here in Frederick County. Since that time, we’ve had the honor of helping to make a real impact, with countless volunteers, supporters, passengers, sponsors, donors, and friends standing by our side every step of the way. And now nearly a decade and over 18,000 rides later, I’m both humbled and excited to share that The Safe Ride Foundation has not only won Impact Club, but is officially one of just five or so organizations in Frederick County to have received this honor Twice! – and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who helped make this honor possible.
It’s incredible to see how the IMPACTCLUB® Frederick itself has grown since the last time we made this post in 2019. With nearly 400 members today, the Club has truly become a powerhouse of charitable giving (and honestly, Frederick County, while our area has the largest club in the nation by far, it’s a crime that we haven’t reached 1,000 members just yet!). Still, we’d like to give our sincerest thank you to every single member of Impact Club; thank you for your belief in us and your dedication to this community. With your generous support and gift, it goes without saying that we’ll be able to reach even greater heights in our mission to eliminate drunk driving from Frederick County, for good.
A huge shoutout to the other amazing organizations that presented with us this time around, which were the The Frederick Rescue Mission and Star Gazing Farm, Animal Sanctuary. Their amazing speeches were inspiring, their missions vital, and they are more than deserving of your support; so please join us in uplifting these incredible organizations as well!
Finally, mark your calendars! – because on November 19th, Impact Club Frederick will be holding it’s next event at Attaboy Barrel House at 6pm and most importantly, will officially surpass ONE MILLION DOLLARS in total giving! This community continues to amaze us, and I’m honored that we get to be a part of something so impactful in one of the most altruistic cities in America. Frederick has such a huge heart, and it just gets bigger every day.
